Hunger in Texas:

In Texas, 1 in 7 people, including 1 in 4 children, struggle with hunger everyday. Together, we can make a difference by providing fresh and free produce to struggling families within our community.

Farm-to-Table. No Strings Attached

OUR MISSION

Harvest for the Hungry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization fighting for those who struggle with food insecurity. We are located on 61 acres, in Freeport, Texas, where we grow farm-to-table fruits, vegetables, honey, eggs, fish, and other healthy foods.

The mission of our organization is to provide healthy farm-to-table food to those in need through production, education, and research. We believe feeding people physically is a platform for feeding people spiritually.

Every year, Harvest for the Hungry secures thousands of pounds of healthy farm-to-table food that goes to local communities and partners that serve the residents in Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris County, and others. Our work helps ensure that healthy food makes it to the tables of thousands of families struggling with hunger.

We partner with several academic organizations and nonprofit institutions to train the next generation of farmers and researchers in adequate, nutritious,  safe supply, and long-term productivity of food to meet human nutritional needs and requirements.

Board Members

Board members do not receive a salary for their services to the organization. Their time, talent, and treasure in fighting hunger with healthy farm-to-table food have been an inspiration to this organization and our community.
