Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program
This program is a transformative 12-month farm training initiative, merging a robust classroom curriculum with a hands-on practicum at the H4H Farm and a state-of-the-art training facility sprawled across 61 acres in Freeport, Texas. This training will be lead by esteemed experts from Texas A&M AgriLife, Brazoria County Master Gardeners, University of Houston, Harvest for the Hungry, Hives for Heroes, and other distinguished institutions.
Training cohorts blend online and in-classroom learning on production, beekeeping, agribusiness, and more. Both cohorts are cost-free. Trainees gain access to soil kits, training on a myriad of farm equipment, bee handling, and woodenware maintenance, business software, hands-on practicum, personalized consultations on production, business development, technical assistance, and year-round field days. Customized learning plans are tailored for every participant in the program.
